Sync your Steam library with GameShelf
GameShelf can synchronize your Steam library with your GameShelf collection: the games you’ve played, the ones you’ve 100% completed, your wishlist, and the games you own but haven’t tracked yet.
Start tracking — it's freeSign in with Google, or look around as a guest.
What gets synced
Games you’ve played
Steam games you’ve played for at least 75% of their HowLongToBeat main-story time are added as Played — so a game you tried for twenty minutes doesn’t count as finished.
100% completions
Games where you’ve unlocked every Steam achievement are marked 100% Completed.
Wishlist sync
Your Steam wishlist comes over to GameShelf, and wishlisted games you’ve since bought move to your Backlog. Turn on automatic daily sync to keep it current.
Backlog suggestions
GameShelf looks through the Steam games you own but haven’t tracked yet, ranks them by a blend of Metacritic Metascore, IGDB rating, and how little you’ve played them, and lets you pick which to add to your backlog.
Owned on Steam
Game pages show when you already own a game on Steam, and how many hours you’ve put in.
How to link Steam
- Sign in to GameShelf with Google — it’s free.

steamcommunity.com/id/…or/profiles/…). - In Steam’s privacy settings, set Game details to Public so GameShelf can read your library, then run the sync.
Frequently asked questions
- Does GameShelf support Steam?
- Yes. Link your Steam account to import the games you’ve played, mark games with every achievement unlocked as 100% Completed, sync your Steam wishlist, and get backlog suggestions from the Steam games you own.
- Why does GameShelf say my Steam games are private?
- Steam only shares your library when your profile’s Game details are set to Public. Change that in Steam’s privacy settings, then sync again.
- Does GameShelf need my Steam password?
- No. GameShelf reads your public Steam profile from its URL; you never enter your Steam password.
- Is GameShelf affiliated with Steam or Valve?
- No. GameShelf is an independent, free game tracker that reads publicly available Steam profile data.
