GameShelf is a free game backlog and collection tracker, available at gameshelf.net. It helps players organize their games, track what they’re playing and have finished, decide what to play next, and share their gaming profile.
Most players have more games than time: a Steam library, a few consoles, a wishlist, and a pile of games they always meant to get to. GameShelf is one place to keep track of all of it — what you’re playing, what you’ve finished, what you set aside, and what’s next.
It’s built around the questions you ask before starting a game. Is it good? Every game page shows the Metacritic critic and user scores. How long is it? It shows HowLongToBeat times for the main story, main plus sides, and completionist runs. What is it, and where can I get it? A summary, genres, platforms, trailers, screenshots, and video reviews, with links to the stores that sell it.
Around those game pages sits everything else a tracker needs: a library organized by status, custom lists, ratings and reviews, a Steam sync that does the data entry for you, a roulette that picks tonight’s game from your backlog, and a public profile to share.
Sign in with your Google account. It’s free, and there’s no separate password to create.
Search any game and mark it Playing, Backlog, or Wishlist — then Played, 100% Completed, or Shelved once you’re done with it. Or link Steam and let GameShelf import what you’ve played. The Steam integration page lists exactly what it brings over.
Every game page puts the Metacritic scores next to the HowLongToBeat times, so “is it good?” and “how long is it?” are answered in one place.
Can’t decide? Play Next asks for a vibe, how much time you have, and how picky you are, then spins your backlog and lands on a game.
Your shelf lives at gameshelf.net/u/yourname, with a gamer title based on your library, badges, and your stats. Follow friends to see what they start, finish, and rate. You can make your profile private any time.

Most trackers make you look elsewhere to decide what to play. GameShelf puts HowLongToBeat completion times and Metacritic scores on every game page, uses them to pick a game from your backlog that fits your evening, and fills in your library from Steam instead of making you enter it by hand.
